Intro
Jasmine "Jaszy" McAllister has been studying the intricacies of jewelry and gemstones for most of her life since taking her Grandmother’s necklaces apart and putting them back together again. She has over 20 years retail fashion experience with a focus in jewelry retail merchandising. Though she inherited her love for gemstones and minerals from her Grandfather, she started her own independent study of gemology in 2002 before founding Jaszy’s Jewelry in 2003. Her work has been featured in several Florida galleries in Naples, Punta Gorda, Englewood, and Sarasota.
"I design pieces for every woman. If you’re the woman who wears a suit to the office and then dresses down in a pair of jeans…or dresses up for a night out, my jewelry will compliment your style. I don’t want to compete with your signature style. And I want women to feel comfortable wearing my jewelry so that they will want to wear it all the time, no matter the occasion."
"I create jewelry designs with conscience, using Fair Trade products whenever possible, and hand-form ear wires and clasp components using recycled Sterling Silver and 14k gold-filled wire. Creating ‘fashion for a cause’ is very important to me and to my business. It’s one small way that we can make a difference in taking care of communities around the world.”
"It will all mean nothing unless we do more to save our communities, our environment. My business will be my legacy to my family and to my community, it's not just about making a buck but being a part of something important, something bigger. And it's about my conscience, I can't possibly use materials I know come from sources that support unethical and unhealthy business practices."
